Default Cylinder Numbering on '04 5.4?

This is lame, but I can't find the cylinder numbering for my 2004 5.4. By that, I'd like to know the physical location of each cylinder by number. (like #1 may be the US drivers side closest to front of truck).

I've scoured the OEM Workshop Manual... looked in the engine compartment.

I'm stumped.

Thanks!

Default Please clarify

Hi all
I know this is an old post but the two answers are different.
I am trying to find out cylinder numbers and location. My code reader says #4 misfire but I don't know which one is #4
2005 5.4 F150 Lariat

Thanks

Passenger side, front of engine is #1, then 2,3,4. Driver side, front of engine is #5, then 6,7,8
