I've been reprimanded by the man of knowledge. Thank you for humbling me.

It will be very loud and obnoxious. You will have a CEL from the catalysts sensors, but it will increase fuel economy 1-2 mpg.

You can get around the CEL by using an O2 simulator or using a tuner and turning off the rear sensors.

You will not pass a visual inspection for emissions testing without the cats in place.

you could just gut the cats and put them back on so they're still there for a visual inspection.

Ya i thought about gutting them but being in florida i dont have to worry about the emissions laws, but how ever im thinkin of moving to tennessee after finishing up with the navy gig. I wasnt gonna through the cats away cause it would be to much to replace them if need be. Im also thinkin of just installing true duals with to muffler with an x pipe. But it would cost me just as much as i have already spent to change the single in dual out 40 series flowmaster the i just put on 5 months ago. Decisions Decisions.

i have read on some forums including this one, that these trucks like a little back pressure. imo, you could do straight pipe from cats back and throw on some high flow cats. or cut the cats and throw on some flowmaster, magnaflow or whatever. and still have a great sound and gain some hp and mpg. but its your ride you can do whatever you want.
