Default Custom Tuning

Does anyone know of anywhere in Tennessee, Kentucky, or North Alabama that will custom tune a vehicle? I want to get my truck tuned localy by a pro and can't find anyone to do it. Yes tuners are great, but i would love to have someone build one for me, wiht my truck there based on my needs, mods, and driving styles.

Ed Bryant with RWTD is located in Harvest, AL (just south of the TN border). He specializes more in the Cobra/GT500/Lightning fields, but can set your F150 up with no problem. I've had him meet me at the dyno a couple of times to provide guidance for tuning my Cobra. Super guy and very capable.

You can visit the website forum (http://www.diablosporttuning.com/forums/) and request his service through there. Tell him Ike sent ya.

THanks guys...Ive had a hell of a time finding anyone around here that does tuning. I found a guy in Chattanooga but he quoted me like $1200...I said ill call you back... Id just rather have my truck tuned for my driving style and mods that use canned tunes and special order tunes that might not catch everything. Thanks again for your help!

You'd be looking at a third of that, including programmer, through Ed @ RWTD. Dyno time rental, if you so choose, would be extra. You can typically rent the dyno at Trackmasters (shop in Huntsville, AL) for about $100/hr, or make 2-3 pulls without a lot of tuning time for about $75. Arthur, the owner, is another cool cat to deal with.

Thanks again...Thats the range that i was thinking a custom Tune would run me with a programmer to reload if needed. The $1200 quote that i got didnt even include the SCT tuner that he would load the tunes onto. I was like WTF.

Torkum..DO you have any idea what it might run me at Delk? It is alot closer that Northern Bama but i wouldnt mind the drive..especially the drive back

A dyno tune is about $150/hr, plus your tuner. Dont forget to bring different gas for the tunes. A google search netted me 77,000 results for dyno tunes in Tennessee, lots of options. Did you even try? lol

Of course I tried google first. But if you drill down on most of the google results they arent dyno and tune shops they are articles about tuning in TN..Most are about Sport compact and hondas. I did find some shops but it looked like they specialized in GM tuning. I want ford specific tuning. Isnt the whole point of this forum to get input from fellow owners about the best places that they are familiar with? I would much rather use a Tuner/dyno that was recommended by anohter person on this forum than some randon place i find on a google search. "LOL"

But, didnt you find this website through some random google search? I know I recomended in another thread a tuner for you... as did others. You have found somebody to do your custom work but it is too much. You want the best for peanuts... good luck with that.
