Default Is a "custom tune" worth it when buying a tuner?

I'm looking into the SCT X4 and wondering if I'll be happy with the included tunes that come with it ir if I should opt for buying one from MPT or 5 Star with "custom tunes" ? Franchi on here seems to have the best price for the unit with no "custom tunes"

I won't be doing much if any towing for awhile, and all I have is an MBRP catback and gonna do the GOTTS mood soon. Also gonna run 295/70/18 Cooper ST Maxx tires. And I have an 08 FX4 screw

I tried the canned tunes while waiting for my custom MPT tunes to be completed. They did add a little improvement to overall performance. However, the difference between canned and custom tunes is a night vs day contrast.

I tried canned tunes before the MPT custom tune I got, and if anything I think I preferred stock over canned tunes and the MPT tune blew both of those out of the water! Worth the money for sure!
