Duffy, my truck had the center jumpseat. if you make it in to a seat and give the bottom part of the seat a little tug it will pop out. The are 4 i believe T50 bolts holding it down. Got my speakers in here are some pictures. My latest question is what and how do i attach the sub to the box, what kind of hardware do i use?

hey ben,
this thing looks killer so far! i did a project just like this in my old expedition, talk about a headache!! a couple of tips for u, make sure the cavity where the sub is being mounted is COMPLETLY seal. if u plan on fiberglassing and painting it u can use the glass on the inside of the box or just some silicon, hit every crease where the wood meets, otherwise your sub isnt gunna put out the sound quality u want, and it looks like u invested a good chunk of change in your equipment so get all it worth! as far as mounting the sub most of the time they come with hardware in the box, there usually just simple 1 inch wood screws though, they also usually come with a long foam strip to go around the edge of the sub where it meet the box, another measure to make sure the box is completely sealed, if u plan on wrapping the box in fabric that should be enough to seal the sub. it looks dam good so far though man!! keep up the good work and keep posting pictures!!

Sara Palin 2011!
I can't believe I didn't think about taking out my jump seat!!
I was planning on building a little box to mount on my dash, where that tray is above the stereo, and making a mount for my phone, and switch for my FM modulator. I'm 6'6", and I do have very long arms (as my name would imply) but I was worried about it being inconvenient to reach up there to skip tracks, pause, etc.
Planned on getting a stereo system in there some day, but wasn't sure where to mount everything.
I'll just pop that seat out and build a console! Then i can put a tablet in there, and maybe have a sliding door to cover it up in shady neighborhoods. I didn't want to build one in front of my seat, because I need the horizontal leg room(6"6'), but I can make a stubby one, and actually have a useful arm rest!
Sweeeet.... so... sometime in the next two years I'll get my lazy *** around to doing it.

Well I finally got my console back. Tried to fiberglass it myself, didn't work as planned. So my stepdad gave it to his upholstery people and had it wrapped in leather, needless to say it turned out sweet.

Eat. Sleep. Lift.
That's awesome, I heard a guy on here saying to keep powerful subs away from the center console area bc of something to do w airbag equipment?? Anyone heard of this?

No but I can understand y... the low bass can actually case screws and connections to wiggle loose over time, I had an old explore with a huge sub in it, by the time I got rid of it everything in the car just felt loose, the doors kinda wiggled, it broke my moon roof, and one time I had a screw just fall into my lap lol still don't know were it came from!

Sorry about the delay, here are some pictures of it in my truck, I ended up cutting two holes in the front of the box on both sides and mounted fans to pull the hot air out, my amp kept over heating. Then I put some speaker grilles over the holes.
