Cryo-Treated Rotors
Last year I reported on the forum that I was dumping some cash into my F150 Lariat Supercrew 4WD......
One year into the Cryo-treated/slotted rotors and Hawk pads and the stopping power has been phenomenal. No noise when backing and braking. The pedal feels firm and responsive but most importantly, the usual front rotor warp has not returned with these treated rotors. I pull a 5k lb camper with no problems when time to stop.
If I had to identify a negative result it would be the brake dust but it was written on the box that the pads would accumulate dust.
Would I recommend the extra expense on the $750 brake job? Most definitely.
Happy to answer any questions.....

Pads are Hawk LTS p/n: HB456Y705 and HB456Y785.
Front Rotors are Stop-Tech. slotted p/n: 126.65100CSR and 126.65100CSL.
Rear Rotors are Centric High Carbon Plain p/n:125.65102CRY
I bought the truck used with 48k miles. My wife says I have a heavy brake foot so I replaced the front rotors at about 60k with an Autozone equivalent. Lasted 8 months so I replaced them again on warranty. Less than a year later I decided to invest in upgraded components. Based on research and personal opinions I chose Hawk and cryo-treated brakes.
