Default cruise control quit

I have an 2005 F150 that the cruise control quit working. I checked the owners manual and no fuse for the speed control by the book. I just found out this evening that my brake lights are also not working. I will check in the am about the fuse but by the owners manual it also controls the blinkers but they are working but I will check the fuse anyways. Any advice or same type problem would be welcome.
It is an automatic with 4.6 L engine, pretty much plain truck.
Thanks

Brake switch on the pedal? That would cause a loose of lights and cruise.

^agreed. Mine went bad a couple years ago, you can get a new Motorcraft replacement for about $30 on RockAuto.

Also pretty simple to see, remove, and install - just check out the brake pedal lever.

Also thinking the brake switch. Did you put any LED lights in your tailights? Clock spring is also a possibility.

Nevermind the clock spring, I was thinking a little bit, but that shouldn't have anything to do with your tail lights.
Third brake light working?

No I have made no mods at all, will be checking at the parts store for a brake light switch.

First test the switch. Don't waste your money until you know that's the issue.

A multimeter and a minute will tell you for certain. Even a simple test light would do it.

Does anyone know off hand is the switch is powered or simply a ground switch?

I have replaced the brake light switch and still have NO cruise. Any ideas? What is the switch above the brake light switch, does it have anything to do with the cruise??
