Default speed demon

speed limit is 25 on base and they ticket for 27, so for about 5 miles a day I set mine... bored more than anything else.lol I was thinking if there was a way to fix the burnt wire trace by jumping a peice of wire over the bad spot, you should ba able to make the switch work again. I used to do that on old radios when a hot wire touched something and zapped, it would burn the foil trace and then tha radio would be dead... follow the trace to where it starts and soldier a wire from there to where the wire ends. should fix the issue.

Upon further investigation I have determined that it is in the shift lock switch. It has nothing to do with shifter poition. That is actually a seperate circuit. When you put the truck in gear you have to step on the brake to take it out of park. That part of the brake circuit has been altered, when I pulled the spring out I grounded the shift lock and closed the circuit that disengages the cruise. Esentially my cruise control thinks I am stepping on the brake at all times.

Thanks for your posts though. I hope this helps someone down the road.
