My '05 has ECC and the (recirc??) damper motor behind the radio makes a loud creaking noise when first operating once truck is started. It only does it when the temp is below roughly 45*. How much crap would I run into by removing the radio and attempting to lube the actuator and motor? I have a 10 year 100,000 mile extended warranty but they will not replace it unless it is malfunctioning. Noises are not covered.

Mine makes lots of noise first thing in the morning. I don't put the setting past 2 until the truck gets warmed up.. It's just to damn cold out!
