We need to start a list going so we can get something done about this crap. How can a part just start to disintegrate in the same spot on all these manifolds. Just called ford and was told $603.07 just for the manifold. I tried silicone around the new water bypass tubes orings and let it harden for 2 days, repair lasted a week before it started again and now took out 2 more coils. Where do these moron designers get their degrees and are they still involved with designing engines. SNO

Please post your manifold pics on fords facebook page and voice your complaints there as well. Maybe they will take notice when this bad publicity starts rolling. SNO

There do appear to be some replacement manifolds available from other than Ford.
This one appears to be correct for the 2007:

There also had been a class action suit regarding the earlier 4.6 engines from 1996 - 2002. The manifold was redesigned for improvement.
I would be miffed if mine broke and I had to deal with the expense of replacement.
But, understand that none of our vehicles will last forever. Vehicles of 9+ years of age are going to have some failures.
