couple of codes after phaser repair
hey all...I scanned tonight after work (Snap On Solus Ultra) and pulled out ....Current-no codes present, Memory-P0340 cam position sensor fault and P0345 cmp sensor A circuit problem bank2, and Pending- P0340 & P0345.....my question is, WTH??....when I replaced the phasers and timing set, I went ahead and replaced the solenoids, both cam sensors, and crank sensor....now I'm getting these codes and it acts up and makes the same old "diesel" noise after it's warmed up.....anyone else run into this, and if so, where do I begin to diag. this and fix it.....got my fingers crossed......and, thanks in advance

Same happened when I did mine driver side cam phaser. Diesel sound is gone. Truck still runs good though. Jus have the codes. I imagine if I timed it wrong it would run like crap but doesn't. I've replaced cam sensor.. Replaced crank sensor.. Swapped cam sensor with passenger side code did not follow. My next step is to tap into the wire close to the connector with another length of wire then to the corresponding wires at the firewall at the ecu, see if that does anything.

I've had it with this damn truck!!!....runs worse now after the fix than before now that these 2 codes have popped up....and, it gets better, it now started stalling(5 times on my way home)....I'm about done with it....might go shopping for a Chevy this weekend, but, I really do enjoy the no payment plan I've got now.

nope....they were Mcraft....the 2 codes are electrical apparently.....like the cam sensor on bank 2 isn't communicating....and, I'm on the 3rd one, same result on all 3...the odds of 3 in a row being bad are astronomical.
