Hey guys, I just got 4 new general grabber at 2 tires 10 ply E rated. Question is what's the recommended tire pressure I should run in them? Had the tire shop put them at 45 psi . Size 275/70/18 thanks

Doesn't it state the proper inflation on the sidewall of the tire?

NO!!!! It never does!!

What it has on the sidewall is the maximum inflation pressure that is only used with the maximum load carrying capacity of the tire, of which you are normally far from.

Start with your door sitcker and move up or down from there as needed. The chalk test is a good way to determine your optimal air pressure. If I am not mistaken someone on the forum has a calculator to determine optimal pressure as well.

NEVER inflate to the pressure listed on the sidewall. Always start at the PSI on door sticker, as stated.

The door sticker is relative to stock P-rated tires in a stock size. I don't think its relative at all once you change anything. I have Load E, 10 ply, 35" x12" tires, airbags. I run mine around 40-45 PSI..

As said above, chalk test is the best way of knowing if you are properly inflated.
