Default Opinions on aftermarket radios ?

I've been looking at the 6.5" touchscreen made by (I think "squares"), all plug N play and around $500+. Or the 7" android which is also nice for a little less $422+. Anyone have either one or ever debated about 2 that can push me towards which one might be better than the other ?

I bought a kenwood deck, no touchscreen, for around $120 bucks and a pair of kenwood excelon speakers with the money i saved by not going touch screen if you wanna go that route. I've had it for two or three years and love it. USB port and aux cable input. Can't remember the output though...

I'm looking at the Kenwood, as well. Not touch screen, but it's got the aux, USB, and is XM/Sirius ready for $149. Those are the only things I need out of it. I'll be replacing my factory head unit sometime in May. Then the speakers are going to come some time in the fall. Level and rims/tires before all else, though! haha

While some will no doubt scoff at my answer, the China ones sold on ebay can be good. I bought one a few years ago, moved it to two different trucks, and it never failed me. GPS, bluetooth, and backup camera.

The android I saw on eBay is from China but it's equipped with everything. It has a feature where my son can play a game on my iPhone and it will come up on the tv screen. The navi, Bluetooth, etc is useful to me living in the New Orleans area.

I got a Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS for $250 on Amazon. Touchscreen and allows me to hook up a rear-view camera and all. We'll see how it works once I get it installed...

I've got a pioneer AVH-X4500BT. Has everything I want, Aux, USB, Bluetooth, xm radio, GPS, rear view camera, and cd/dvd. A bit expensive but worth it imo.

I picked up a Kenwood Touch Screen Deck in December for $350 from Crutchfield. Pretty happy with it so far and one of my favorite parts was the back-up camera I added!!

Here is is in my truck:

I guess the way I think is if I'm gonna do something to my truck, and do it right for me and my family (not putting anyone down) but just getting the whole pkg in one bundle and worrying about the rest later. I do plan on installing a BU camera and other things but I guess I was really trying to see if anyone else had any of the 2 I was looking at to see the similarity and/or differences. No problemo, me casa e' su casa

I think we're trying to push you toward the things we would trust more and might not be exactly plug & play, but simple hand tools, some wire crimps and 30 minutes would be installed. If you order from crutchfield they send you the wiring harness where you simple match the colors, splice them to the aftermarket stereo and plug it in. Then you just pop it in the dash kit and you're done.
