cookies under the hood!!
About a month ago I opened my hood to check my oil and I found a cookie (yes an actual cookie) laying a top my battery.? didnt pay any mind to it so i just tossed it out. well low and behold i found another cookie a few days later in the same spot...I just figured a squirrel or mouse had just jumped in there to keep warm. no biggie nothing was chewed up or anything. lol...now today I was under my truck changing the o2 sensors and i noticed the on the passenger side, the insulation mat was torn up chewed whatever...kinda ticked me off but I cant see it so not a real problem. I then opened the hood and again to my lovely surprise was another freaking cookie!!!! this time laying on the intake manifold.....so my question to you fellas is how do i keep animals out of my engine compartment..its not a big issue now but id like to nip it in the bud before some wires get chewed on...
any insight or similar stories???

A friend of mine bought a 2000 f150 from a small dealership and it had an iPod between the seats.

You can only sprinkle some cayenne pepper under the hood. The smell will detract them from your engine compartment. Make sure to wet your engine first so that when you sprinkle the pepper under there, it has a much better chance of sticking to components. Its not going to be pretty but it'll surely deter the small woodland creatures.
When I worked for Volvo, I saw two cars nearly totalled because the animal infestation/feeding frenzy got so bad.
