Default component speaker install on my 08

So I bought a sub setup from a fellow forum member MHOWELL and decided that I have to upgrade the rest of the system to get the best sound so I bought a JBL component setup at sonicelectronics.com got a really good deal on it to. Now where to mount the tweeters. I pondered over this for a few days and finally decided on the A-pillars.

First thing I had to do was drill holes for the wires so I took them loose drilled the holes and ran the wires through them.

Next I installed the tweeters.

Now to get the tweeter wires into the door where I decided to put the crossovers this part was done by the local audio shop and even they were nervous. (If you drill here be extremely careful and go slow)

Then I cut a small slit into the rubber boot and ran the wires into the doors.

Now that this is done I ran them into the arm rest under the widow switches.

Then just hook up the wires to the crossovers in the proper spots.

Place crossovers into the doors.

Hook up the wires to the woofers.

Reinstall the woofers and speaker panel and enjoy.

As a side note for the input into the crossovers (until I amp them of course) I'm using the factory wiring for the speakers I highly recommend using the adapters.

Didn't your truck have the factory spot for the tweeters, right by the armrest on the door?

It does but after talking to a buddy of mine who helped install my sub and happens to have an audio competition car about where to install them he told me they would sound better on the A-pillars. I can it sounds great like this almost like I'm at a concert and the music is being played right at me.
