If it turns out to be something like the FPDM and the dealer wanted to instal new motor, I would have to go back to the dealer with some serious QUESTIONS!!

What rpm are you idling at?

You could try raising the idle with a tuner to see if that curbs the stalling.. It could be a worn throttle body..

Did you guys update the VCT solenoids to the latest revision?

Have you checked the gear shifter wires at the tranny and shifter?

Is Battery voltage from the alternator around 14.6 to 14 volts? Are all the grounds tight and is the battery old or new?

RPM is about 1200 during warm up but sitting low at about 500 or so after warm up. Engine will throttle up normally when in park/drive just stalls when putting into gear

With AE software my buddy took speed up to 1000RPM and still stalls when put into gear.

VCT solenoids are deactivated. The entire VCT system is out of the question now with the lockout kit from livernois. Phasing stuck in full advance.

Have not checked any wires from gear shifter or trans. Never messed with any of that and just seems like a big huge mess from one spark plug being changed. I think this may have all be one big issue from me jumping on the throttle. The first time my cam phaser went was under heavy throttle operation. Think I just made a bunch of stuff really really mad. lol. Part of me also thinking about torque converter but want to double check everything else first. I am interested in pulling FPDM and seeing how much corrosion is on it.

Oh I will. Already had words with them after the crappy diagnosis they gave me. No codes flagged at the dealership means I dont know what to do

When you say this derived from you "jumping on the throttle", are you just talking about you flooring it one day, and your troubles began?

Yes. I had a single misfire code, changed the plug and during a test drive I hammered the throttle to the floor and then received all this. Went from one misfire to 5 cylinders. We have corrected misfire but now have just the ticking and stalling issues.

I might have missed it, but have you done a compression test across all cylinders?

The dealership did when they had it and said it passed

I realized I left this out in the op. The engine itself is healthy. Great compression per dealer, great oil pressure, no bottom end noises, put a vacuum gauge on it and I get 23inhg. With no fluctuations. Vacuum gauges are old school but show alot about overall health of an enginge including vacuum leaks. I'm very convinced the mechanicals of the engine are healthy nor do I see any signs to show otherwise.
I believe we are down to something external engine.... The question is what. No we haven't tried FPDM. I work the next couple days and I have his truck.
