The only 2 things that have failed on my 08 was an Idler pulley and my over 5 year old battery...good luck on your trip.

Hi.

Inspect - and replace if in any doubt - yer FPDM. And carry a spare one.

May also want to install a fresh fuel filter and a new serpentine belt.

Also check to see that you can easily remove and reinstall the spare ( test the access hole lock, winch and condition of the spare. ). Good time to do it as you need to drop the spare to see the FPDM anyway.

Do a scan of yer PCM to pull any codes - including possible pending ones - and get those addressed before you leave.

Good luck & safe trip !

All depends on where u live and how u treat your truck. If u live up north they are prone to go early due to all the salt on the road. Same thing anywhere if u mud ride a lot. Mine had 190000 before mine went.

Fuel Pump Drive Module
Mounted above the spare tire. It has aluminum body and is mounted to steel frame. Electrolysis eats the aluminum case and exposes the electronic module.
Take a look and if it is damaged, get a new one from Amazon or parts store and replace before it fails.
