Default cold draft on left foot, driver side

I can't figure this one out and have searched the forum with no luck. I have a draft on my left foot. When it's below freezing, and especially when my feet are wet, it's terrible. Has anyone had/heard of/fixed this? Yes I know it's getting warmer, but I want to take care of this this summer. I have an 04 fx4 Scab.

Sub'd. I have an 04 XLT scab and I sometimes feel like there's a vent down there or something. Very interested to hear what you come up with.

Yeah. A nice draft for sure.

Only during the winter for me. Clean the weather seals and throw some Vaseline on the rubbers.

Give it a try.

Somehow I missed your response. I had already tried cleaning them. I put armorall, not vaseline. Only because I didn't think about vaseline, and have a boat load of armorall. The draft feels more like it's coming from the firewall than the door. It's warm now, so I guess I'll try to figure it out again when it gets cold. I live in Alabama, so there's no telling when it's going to be cold again!

I have the same issue. Did you find a fix or still waiting for cold weather?

Haven't found it yet. It's not cold enough around here yet.

I think my issue is with the driver side weather strip. It seem compressed in the area below the door hinge and rocker panel. I was able to decompress it by rubbing it and pulling the weather strip along its edges. I also cleaned it and it seems to be OK for now. No cold air coming in and my left foot is warm.

I know this is the 2004-2008 forum but my 2011 has the cold foot syndrome.

My dad and I have both complained about this issue with our F150's for years!!!!!! I did poke holes for wiring in the boot but I've siliconed them closed. I'm not 100% sure where it's coming from but I think it might actually be coming from the venting ducts and such (as outside air comes in - might not be sealing the best).... I'll be digging more this year because I absolutely hate it!!! haha

I had a few minutes earlier started looking for this culprit again (it got down to 27 last night). I may have found some spots. It looks like there might be multiple cold draft intrusions. I found one spot where sealant is missing in front of the door jamb, near the top of the fender.

There are also a few attachment points on the body for wiring harnesses. Here's an example, it's the white clip:

There are a few of those. This "coldness" could be caused by multiple small access points. Just a theory right now though. When I have more time to take the parking brake lever off, I'll try to seal them off and see what happens.

I hope you can find where that area is coming from. This is my first ford and I hate that Ford has no TSB on this. We might as well by Great Stuff form insulation and go to town!
