You may want to get a custom tune before you hurt your engine.

I have a tuner now but drove the truck for 22,000 miles with a Airaid CAI" which is the same as a Roush" and the factory tune and with true dual Flowmaster exhaust and never one problem.I could have been the lucky one.But the tune makes a hell of a difference...

AEM, JLT, and Roush/Airaid are all good ones that show gains and are reasonably priced

Don't buy a Volant. I had to modify mine quite a bit to stop the damn thing from making hellacious noise!!!. Works good now, but what a pain!!!

i checked out that artical, the consensus it to get a tuner. will a edge tuner be sufficient, or do you need an sct or diablo with a custom tune?

The SCT and/or Diablo may have canned tune options for your intake, but I don't think so - you will have to check their websites.

The Edge is for stock trucks only. If you want an Edge style unit, it will have to be a Gryphon.
