The exhaust and intake usually give very small gains for mileage. Power is not directly correlated to mileage, but there are ways to get the best of both. Efans and a programmer will be things that will give power gains and give the potential for better mileage. Read the modding for mileage section of the mpg thread.

No such thing as cold air intake. They are ambient air intakes and give very little if any improvement over a functioning stock intake other than noise.

LOL

Isn't that like saying "there is no such thing as ice, it is frozen water"?

Your right. The 1,000's of tests done on before and after dyno's, and before and after comparisons done at a track must all be wrong....

I have AEM Brute Force and love it. Feels like more power and sounds great. Really like the oil free filter

I am trying to do exactly what your doing... except I bought the K&N CAI. There is definitely a difference in sound and seems to have better low end torque of the line. Im changing my exhaust next week to a FlowMaster 40-series Single In/Dual Out with turn downs! When mods are done I'll check my mpg's and let you know how it goes. I range from 13.6mpg - 14.2mpg stock and haven't checked since the CAI. We will see how it goes!

A CAI you're not tuned for and a baffled muffler.......................I'm glad marketing claims still seem to work.

Ambient air is much cooler than hot engine bay air. Great second post
