Default Cold Air Intake or CatBack Exhaust?

Which mod would be the first to do on my 2006 SRT F-150. Both mods seem to be the first to do on the 4.6 engine. My budget, I'll do one at a time.

Thanks for any information.

Does the CAI impact the MPG at all? Improved performance is great but I want to increase my MPG.

I made some performance mods on my Harley which resulted in much needed 'go power' but also realized a big improvement in mpg (stock 38-40 mpg; with performance mods 52-55 mpg with a best of 57).

This truck gets the worst mileage of any vehicle I have ever owned. The following info is the average over the 2 months I have owned the truck.

Average Fuel/Mileage Data:
--------------------------
Miles/tank: 362
Gallons: 24
MPG: 15
Days: 10 (days between fillups)

Highest MPG: 16.1

Is this considered good, average, bad for combined driving? I haven't had the opportunity to go thru a full tank on the highway yet.

2004 F150 XLT 4.6L

Thanks...

What gear are you running? When I put the 3" exhaust on the stock truck It felt slugish until I did the intake and flash then it woke this baby up. I say go with the intake and a good tune you wont be disapointed
