I see. Chill out. Have a sense of humor. Get along with others. You'll learn a ton about your truck here.

A moderator has their username in red. Or go to the bottom of the forum sections and the moderators for that section are listed, in red. Nobody jumped down your throat, that is until you wouldnt listen to the first several people tell you a CAI is a waste. We are here to help, not harm. We also love to share info that we have learned to be beneficial to our trucks and a CAI is not beneficial.

So can I hurt my truck with this thing. Now you all got me sketched out when I was absolutely down to putting this thing on. I'm now thinking about getting a new filter for it because it is kind of old and not "oily"

Yes, you can hurt it without a tune (cause the engine to run rich) which will foul plugs, melt catalytic converters etc. Or it may run just fine. Google "F150 Gotts mod". Its a much better intake option that CAI's.

Those filters require routine cleaning and oiling "recharging" in K&N terms. Done properly, you won't have any problems. However, too much oil will foul things up in a hurry. Folks here are giving you great advice, your not going to gain anything with a CAI. Your better off with the stock filter And welcome to the forum!

Just a heads up, we have our 'cranky' days. A sense of humor and passiveness is a must on here lol. But in reality, I'm glad to be part of a very knowledgeable community. And yes, Martian has rubbed us all the wrong way at least once, or twice, or... jk #programmerlifffeeee

My two cents.... (pockets are empty) I have been on here for over a year is all. Most of which was spent in the 10th gen section. I was getting to know most of those guys pretty well. Now I have moved here and Ive had to learn all over again. Ive been rubbed the wrong way a few times by my wife and I've had a couple run ins with the mods here. Usually because I was wrong. Just learn from it and don't take it personal. There is so much information here its amazing! Most of the guys on here are really helpful. I've gotten so much good advice. Everyone on this particular thread really does know their stuff. Listen to them.
