Default which cold air intake?

I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for. Over on the other ford truck forum everyone likes the volant intake and it seems like over here everyone likes the afe. Anyone have a good reason to go with one over the other?

AF1 and S&B are some of the most popular one's. AEM is right up there too.

It's gonna be

1.personal preference

2. Price

3. type (open like k&n, afe, etc or closed like volant and banks I believe)

exactly. each intake will only vary by 1 or 2 hp at the most so just get the one you get the best deal on.

Check out the prices on these intakes...You will not believe how cheap they are right now. You better act soon though, I hear its a liquidation sale since they arent going to be selling F150 stuff anymore. I picked up an AFE Stage 2 intake kit that retails for $370 for only $150

Be sure and buy one that is truly a "cold air intake", meaning the filter box is sealed from drawing in the wardm engine heat.

The f150 store does indeed have some great deals going on. I bought the K&N cold box air intake for my 4.2 yesterday. Nearly half price. Great deal.
