Codes P0012 and P0022
Does anyone have any insight on the codes P0012 and P0022? Or any permanent fixes for these codes? Just did cam phasers, timing chains, guides, VCT solenoids on my 2004 with the 5.4 then started throwing these codes.

If you paid to have the work done, I'd take it back.

I guess I should of stated that i knew what the codes are, its just crazy that i replaced the VCT solenoids but yet its throwing the codes. They are Ford OEM VCT solenoids

No other codes? Did it have those codes prior to the repair? I had p0022 with misfire codes, p0171, and p0175. I replaced the vct sol. on the bank that had the misfires and lean code. fixed the problem.

Yes it did but i can not remember what they were, had a few misfires. Cleared the code and nothing has came back up yet. Hopefully it was just a fluke. Just made me nervous after replacing all of that stuff and still got a code.

In my opinion doing timing with aftermarket phasors is doomed . Plus doing an engine flush is very necessary before starting . Take vct bodies apart and clean them ,there is a small filter in there .Upgrading oil pump to the melling hv is smart and I prefer using mellings old style ratcheting chain tensioners . Not cleaning out oil pan is very foolish .
