Do your interiors lights come on when you open the door with the truck off? Does the odomiter light up when the door is open? Do all the chimes sound? Does the outside temp gauge work? Those are common issues when swapping clusters that don't have the as-build data.

Yes, lights come on with truck off.. odometer lights up when the door opens..chimes work.. temp gauge works.. the only thing that doesn't work is the auto door lock when truck is in motion. I did not get it re-flashed with the as-build data.

Gotcha. I guess those issues just pertain to 07-08 trucks. I dealt with all of that.

Having owned an XLT and now an FX4 (with Lariat cluster), there's really not that much difference between the XLT and FX4 clusters, except gauge layout. So I believe compatibility issues would be at a minimum. Check your owner's manual. There should be a procedure for toggling the auto lock on/off. You just may need to turn it back on...

I think you're right. Just never got around to checking yet. Had the FX4 cluster for about a week and only now had a chance to swap them out. Thanks.

So I've finally found a cluster out of a 2007 4.2L V6 with a manual transmission for my STX. My only issue is the TPMS light, which was expected. Just curious when you guys covered the light with the electrical tape, did you cover it behind the black gauge overlay? If so how does it come off, mine seems stuck on. Thanks for any help

Just remove its bulb before you install the cluster; no tape required.

It's an LED you'd need to un solder. It's not s bulb.

The clear cover has 4 clips and easily comes off. Putting tape over it would probably be easier.
