Default Clunk shifting into drive when cold

I have an 06 scab fx4..When I shift into drive when cold, my transmission clunks into gear. Even if i run the truck for a few mins, it still does this. Could this be a bad mount possibly? I put the truck in neutral and moved my drive shaft from side to side and up and down. There is no play. I just purchased the truck two months ago and im curious. This is my first f150. The truck has 60k on it.
Thank you.

That's the slip yoke in your drive shaft. You just need to take it down and grease the splines.

Thank you. How involved is it to dismantle the drive shaft?

There are 4 bolts 12 mm if I recall correctly and one clamp that is not reusable. Remove clamp from boot end that is closest to carrier bearing. Mark where the drive shaft and differential meet so that you can reassemble the same way. Remove the 4 bolts that connect the drive shaft to differential. You may need to use a big screwdriver to pry the shaft from the differential and once the that end is off the other part will slide off. Not a bad job at all worst part is probably having to lie on your back to do the job. You can seal the boot back with a big tie wrap if you don't want to run to the dealer for the replacement clamp.
