Not too bad at all. If I remember right just a 15mm open end to hold the bolt and a 15mm deep well with my impact on top. Only took me about 20 mins total. I was really surprised because the bushings looked fine and it was as tight as I could get it with a 3/8 socket wrench before the impact wrench got ahold of it

What brand links did you put in? I am trying to decide if I stick with Ford MotorCraft or if I move to another brand.

I actually didn't even replace them. I guess just after time with the lift they loosened up a little. When I looked to replace them all the local parts stores only had rubber and i really wanted urethane. Personally I would try my best to find urethane bushings and I don't think the brand would matter that much

Hmmm, guess I will check to see if they are tight. I have a stock suspension, so should be no issues there. Otherwise I will look for new end links and replace in the near future.... Still looking for preferred brand though by the community.

Purchased the Moog sway bar end links and getting ready to replace the originals.

Q: To make this job easier, should I put the front wheels up on ramps to give myself more working room/clearance? Sliding under the truck, it appears to be tight to give myself enough room to get any leverage on the bolts/nuts, etc.

Most likely a dumb question, but I wanted to confirm my hunch that I need to buy ramps since I need to keep the load on the tires (ie. jack stands won't cut it in this case,) and all the work is done under the truck.

I agree with the other sounds like 1 of two things.. Sway Bar End Links or Sway Bar Bushings.. the Bushings will make a Clunk at low speeds normally not heard at high speeds.. This will only happen when turning that direction of flexing..

as stated before rock it back n forth...

if your getting sway bar links or bushings for the sway bar stay with Moog (imo they are best for chassis parts)

what year mn_f150 did you say you have?

My truck is 2005 build. I ended up purchasing the Moog End Sway Links, but they are still in the box. The clunk seems to occur for a few times in a row, then goes away and is hard to duplicate. Dealerships cannot duplicate it, so it has been a low priority item. Now that it is getting warm again in MN, perhaps I will crawl under the truck and tackle this. With the low amount of clearance though, I think I need to purchase some ramps, get the truck up in the air another foot, and then tackle the job.

any words of wisdom to share on this job?

btw, while I would be changing these out, since I am already getting dirty, is there a recommendation on other suspension or stability items that could/should be swapped out? Truck is at 98,000 so I assume perhaps other items will be wearing out soon..
