Cleaned the throttle body
Last night leaving a store I threw 2 codes-p2111 & p2104 and the truck went into limp mode. I was able to clear the codes on the spot with my Scangauge II, restart the truck and drive home.
After some research I found out it was a throttle body related issue. This morning I took about 20 minutes and cleaned it out. I didnt remove it but cleaned it installed. (After removing the duct work)
To open the throttle I turned the key to the on position and put a stick between the seat and gas pedal and moved the seat up until the pedal was on the floor.
I used throttle body cleaner and a microfiber towel. Couldnt believe how dirty it was.
The truck runs and accelerates a ton better and havent had and hopefully wont have the limp mode and codes back.
Heres a pic of the towel I used to clean it with.

all that junk went past your MAF first... you may want to clean that too

I knew the TB would be a little dirty after 93K miles but didnt think it would be this bad. Makes me think the Fram drop in filter always use isnt that good and need to go to another filter brand.

Next time anyone removes the TB, look deep inside the IM for oil puddled/coated. You do not want oil in it as oil does not burn well in the combustion process. Take some pics anyone that does this, and removing the TB for cleaning is easy and should be done regularly all.

What is the suggested interval for cleaning throttle body? and MAF for that matter - can you clean it TOO much?
Softbristle tooth brush on TB with correct spray (SeaFoam?), only use MAF cleaner on MAF, no brushing - just spray on MAF, what do you do if you find oil down in the IM?

MAF is fragile, MAF cleaner only, and only if oil is present (or dirt) on it. Not often.
TB just as you describe, and every 10 k miles or so as any buildup will contribute to a hesitation when transitioning from idle. Brake clean can be used on the TB just fine as well.
If you have oil in the IM you are ingestion oil through the PCV system and it is entering the intake air charge. This causes some detonation and of course carbon buildup on pistons and combustion chamber, so a catchcan shown to stop all, or nearly all the oil is needed to stop it. (Most cans only trap 20-30% of the oil).
Post pics next time you remove the TB of inside the intake manifold. Your looking for oil puddled on the bottom and coating the inside.
