Default Chips/CAI

I am looking for something for my truck that will give it a bit more power. There are a large amount of options and I am new to ford engines. Out of all the chips and CAI tell me your opinions and which one you prefer and why. I mainly want better fuel mileage, but more power is a must as well.

How does the new Hypertech max power programmer work? It says up to 57hp and up to 6mpg increase.

there is only one tuner to use on a Ford. SCT Xcalibrator2 and/or Livewire. The Hypertech is crap. Have Troyer Performance do a tune for you.

I like my edge evolution personally , the readings of things like the tranny temps while towing are why I got mine

Xcal 2 is the best. It was designed for Ford originally by a Ford builder. 57 HP on a NA gas. We got 45 out of a 5.4 after MAJOR tweaking. I would go with the X-cal. I bought the K&N kit for CAI it added 13 hp to the truck. I am thinking of selling my X-cal2 and upgrading to either the livewire or the 3

On screen datalogging, rather than having to attach it to a computer. I really don't know what else. My truck has a flat spot at 4k in 3rd. It won't show on the Dyno. I want to know what its doing.

many of the dealers are still in the dark as to what the Xcal3 will be capable of beyond larger files and datalogging....unfortunately.

I think I will get the SCT Livewire. I like that it has gauges and seems like yall like SCT. Why is it better than the edge evo w/ att? What about the CAI?

The edge is canned tunes..Every vehicle is diffrent. There have been alot more problems with the Edge.. CAI I reccomend K&N.. They advertised 7.4 hp on my truck. I got 13.1 peak HP.
