Default Was checking out a Raptor at the dealership today...

Drove down to the ford dealership to drop my truck off for them to replace the motor in the sliding rear window and was looking at a few trucks on the lot and saw they had a Raptor for sale. The sales guy saw me checking it out and ran over as fast as he can to try and pitch me. I told him I was not serious about buying it - or really even thinking about buying a new truck because im happy with the truck I have. He says well I already lose my place in line so I might as well show it to you anyway. So he opens it up and tells me to sit inside and turns it on so we can hear the 6.2l and check out all the bells and whistles. So I kind of casually say to him ya its a pretty nice truck and he goes on to say well you know we can give you a hell of a trade in price and we have great financing. Thats when the price came up. After taxes, registration and dealer mark up the truck was $75k minus whatever they determined my trade-in price at!! I had to laugh I know the raptors are expensive - but jesus christ $75k for a FORD!? and a BEIGE colored ford at that....

They have no Raptors or any 6.2L's at that at the lot down the road from my house. Talked to one of the salesmen that is in one of my classes and he said the only way to get one is to order one. They said that they maybe sell 2-3 / year and it's the same guy each year.

They're at every ford dealership out here. Some even got some used ones on the lot for 35k.

Yeah, I went and test drove one a couple months ago. Even attempted to finance and buy one haha. All in all... I test drove her and well.... I must say... now that I have driven one I am not AS obsessed with wanting one anymore. I do believe it came out to nearly 60K after everything was said and done.

I was offered to test drive it but I decided against it because I was afraid I might like it too much...
