Default 17s

got some 17s on my truck w/ stock rims. easy to find a set of tires for a reasonable price and many to choose from. don't get 20s if you go offroad. too much rim-not enough tire. 20 inch tires are outragous in price. just don't get any goodyear all terrains with the "silent armour". can't keep them balanced. just my opinion.

I picked out my wheels and tires from the pre built package section of the website. There is not as many choices that way but it's cheaper. You can also go through that site and pick out any wheel and any tire it's just a bit more expensive that way I believe.

I believe the local Tire Barn quoted nearly 1500 by the time it was all said and done.
If those tires are the ones I am thinking they are, they stop at 17". My brother has them on his heap...

My brother loves the tires...

I'll share my protip with you:

My tires are all bought online. I use discounttiredirect.com and buy the tires w/o the valve stems or certs for replacements. Then, I go to my local walmart. People say "Ha, walmart!", but you know what, they've done my tires for the last 10+ years, the prices cannot be beat and I've not had 1 single issue. There is an independent shop across from walmart, I've been there twice. The prices are double and I always have to wait. To dismount 4 tires from the fx4 wheels I bought from CL was a flat $10. 20min total and I was on the road. A+.

My most recent set I bought from ebay as discounttiredirect does not carry toyo and did not have coopers in stock. I bought my toyo's from ebay from a reputable seller.

I also bought all tires from discounttiredirect. I did get stems, no replacement plan though. I also tried Walmart but none I'm my area could mount a 305/70/17.. so I had a guy at tire kingdom hook me up with 9.99 mount/balance on each, and alignment. I paid $124 out the door.

Ouch that sucks. The guy here at the walmart is a determined SOB. When I bought my car in last year, he said their machine did not like my tires and he did not want to scratch the wheels, it took him 2 hours and the guy was wet and sweaty...mind you it was winter. He also used the stick on weights as they where aftermarket wheels. Guy does great work.

Stick with 18's... You'll have more tire choices.. Better price also... 20" and above gets expensive.. I purchased all of my tires from ebay.. Pretty competitive prices... Nitto trails is a pretty good tire... You could probably get a aggressive A/T tire a little cheaper than the trails..

If you ever want to move up to 20-22" rims with m/t's you can do so with confidence knowing that a lesser sidewall wont hinder your performance... Plenty if us run those sizes with success in comfort on and off road...

Yeah, keep the 18's, I have 20's with 33 inch nitto terra grapplers, and there's no negative ride discomfort from the bigger wheels, and I off road all the time, from the beach to the local swamp, I've never had a problem having a bigger rim. People like to bash wheels bigger than 17 inches on their off road abilities.
