Default Changing Radiator, how do I unhook oil/tran lines? Special tool needed?

So how do I get the fittings off the oil and transmission cooling lines that go into my radiator? I went to an O reily's and they gave me a hard plastic tool and said its for fuel lines but will work for what I need but it doesnt fit because the line (see in pic) has like a 1mm ring that goes around it. I've been tring to change this radiator since last week and I really need my truck, please help lol.

Here is a pic of the fitting and the line going into it.
