Default changing oil question

i can install a flowmaster exhaust, and, i'm about to install my whipple BUT the dealership has always done oil (maint. package) for vehicle and while its convention i wanted to know after installing the oil filter hand tight. Do you turn it a 1/4 turn to fully tighten or 3/4 a turn w/the filter wrench...

I personally just do mine hand tight(which is pretty tight anyways)...or maybe throw a 1/4 or less turn with the wrench. They seem to tighten up on their own throughout the oil life(between changes). Make sure you take some fresh oil and rub around the gasket on the filter and you'll be fine

Yeah, 1/2-3/4 turn by hand. Then its, "who's the gorrilla that put this thing on" at the next oil change.

X10 to Fastford, thats why I use Fram my self. Getting to old and have lost all the grip in these "6 year old little girl hands". Hands are still small but belley is bigger, need taller jack stands.

had to take a filter off a friends truck (ram) with a screwdriver by punching a hole in filter and turning it - couldn't get a filter tool down to it on this particular model - it eventually came off though -
