Changed vct solenoids at 151k engine tick went away

I got mine at Autozone, the handle end closest to the blade had to be shaved down a little because it kept rubbing good on the VCT solenoid. The T27 cost me less than $10 and was worth it even with the shaving of the handle.

i am having enuff trouble with the valve cover plugs that i think i will just remove the covers. if i do, is it reasonable to think i will not need to replaced the plugs? will they reseal correctly on a new VCT?
what voltages should i expect to find on the VCT harness plug if it is normal?

If you think about it, this would mean that all '07-'08's would have broken solenoids. On my old '05, the seals got destroyed upon removal. I would recommend having new ones handy just in case: 3L3Z-6C535-AA

The later models still have a hole and seal for the electrical connector, it's just smaller. It's not big enough for the solenoid to pass through. This is what the older style looks like:
