Glad your mechanic got that all figured out.

Not my mechanic. This isn't my truck, or I would have done the Motorcraft from the start.

So why didn't your friend just trust you from the start?

That's a question you'd have to ask him.

Anyone know when the new updated motorcraft plugs came out? My truck has 200K on it. I bought it from the original owner, he claims he did the plugs at 100K and told me it was due for another set when I bought it. I don't know how long ago he did the job last in years or months, but it has another 100K on the plugs. I was hoping I might get lucky and the better motorcraft plugs have been out a while so I might have then vs the old original style

I have to think he put the new style plugs in it. I would clear a few hours, and have the Lisle tool on hand, just in case.

I'm thinking the lisle tool in hand is a good idea! Ok thanks!
