Champion or E3 plugs for an 06 5.4l supercab F150?
Gonna be helping a friend replace the plugs and coils on his 2006 f150 Supercab with 5.4l. He doesn't have a lot of tools, so he's coming to my place to use mine. We are just waiting on the Lisle tool he ordered to come in. He's got 110K miles on his truck, so changing them should be fun.
After showing him some of the threads here and a couple of other places, he wants to replace the plugs with a 1 piece plug instead of the 2 piece Motorcraft plugs. What one piece plugs are better for him in the long run? The Champions or the E3's? Or is there another 1 piece plug that would be better.
He's replacing the COP's with Motorcraft.
Edit: He is not going to use Motorcraft. Period. So chiming in to just say "use Motorcraft" isn't helpfull

Yep, Motorcraft only.

I only read the thread title, not even the post, and my answer is NO, to whatever you are trying to do.

I have a 08 Screw with 100K on it, just replaced the plugs with Champion's. no issues, truck runs like new. I had a retired ford mechanic remove the old one's without braking one of them.

I used autolites. About 15 months of trouble free service. But their are a lot of people saying use motorcraft only so I might go that way next time. Just make sure you keep the cylinders clean and all should be good.
