It's not so bad. Either take the pulley off, then the pressure line, or find a slender wrench (10mm if I remember) to reach through the pulley, backing the pump away from the motor as you loosen that last bolt. If you do take the pulley off, go ahead and drain as much of the fluid out as possible so you can put more fresh fluid in there.
It's 3 bolts. The backside on the bottom is a just a guide pin, no bolt. Taking the pulley off isn't a big deal if you have a pulley remover, but you also have to get a pulley installer to put it back on. They can be rented at parts stores, and it only takes maybe 20 min to get it and the pump off.
Looking good so far. If you didn't like the driverside cover, you're going to hate the passenger side!
Driver side was easy lol. Passenger side is already off.. I had to literally stand in the engine bay and fight it lol. But alright ill definitely keep that in mind. Just sucks i gotta drive a chevy to work for now. lol

Cool, then you're almost halfway done lol! For some reason the app on my phone doesn't show all the pictures sometimes, so I can't see if you put one up of the passenger side off.

Taking the power steering pulley off will definitely help, but after messing with my pulley and 2 different pulley tools, mine would not budge. It was not hard to remove the pump with the pulley on, just real time consuming. I had to lay on the ground and use my left hand to turn the wrench, had a good view of the bottom bolt from there and keep getting up to stretch out my back just because the position sucked. Also, my truck is pretty high, so I had to get me a step to be able to reach the top pump bolts. My back was sore, but it only took about 45 minutes to take the pump out and move it to the side. The pump was the hardest part of the job in my opinion, after a while, even the back VC bolts were not that bad to get to. Looking good so far, I had posted some pics of when I did this job in another thread, and a kinda step by step that may help. Good luck.

Well buddy, im gonna have to do some grinding on a wrench to get my high pressure line off. Seems that i have 3 bolts of course but the line is directly above the bottom bolt, cant really get a wrench in there. Gonna have to bust out the grinder or something. Only thing i really got done tonight is got the power steering bolts loose and got the harmonic balancer bolt out. Gonna have to get some puller bolts for it as well.

Oh yeah check out the carnage i found!

Before you bust out the grinder, rent a power steering pump pulley removal tool!

Yea, I had to use the open end part of the wrench on the bottom bolt, tried to put the box end on and got it stuck for a few minutes. Using the open end, I was able to get that bolt loosened and just had to keep loosening the top 2 bolts as well and kind sliding the pump away from the block to keep room to get the bottom bolt out. If you try removing the pulley, hopefully you have better luck than me, I tried with 2 different pullers and my pulley was not coming off. Even put a impact gun on the tool and no joy. Ended up leaving it on and just going at the bolts. Good luck.
