Center Console w/ 2 10" subs complete!!
Hi all.... I thought I would post this here...
I needed some bass...
Hate the options in the Ford cab...
My first truck (XRunner) - I had actually built fiberglass boxes into my rear door panels - I thought about doing this with the truck..... but the wife wasn't too keen on me cutting up the factory door panels just yet :
So I had to decide how to put 2 10" subs in the truck...
WITHOUT having to use shallow subs under the seat..
I thought..... The console was tremendous....
Why not get rid of it (BTW - you cannot see the wood adapters in my door panels thats just from the flash on the camera)
So - now I am powered by 2 Diamond 10's (Will be changed out for JL 10W3's when I can afford it)....
A couple people asked about my amp location....

Thanks- it sounds awesome.... Pounds hard hehe
It took me the better part of Sunday... But that was also design, and changing a few things after.... Now that I know what to do, I could probably bang 2 or 3 out in a day if needed..
Materials... About 75 bux between carpet, mdf (3/4), glue, screws, etc..

box looks amazing! couple of questions though.... 1 how come you didnt make like an amp rack for the amps? i thought it was bad for the amps to be touching bare metal? 2 with the amps being mounted on the back, does your back seat flush against the wall like stock? or did you just lay it back up and have the middle seat holding the back rest up?

No room for an amp rack without moving the seats forward. There is nothing wrong with an amp screwed into a metal wall.. As long as it is secure, there is no issue.
The seat still fits flush- no problem... Amps have been in there for about 3 months.. No heat issues, no cut offs or anything like that.
