Definitely gonna need to see this, I would love to do this to my truck. I would also like to see some before and after photos. Also where did you get the center console from?

ok guys been working since 8AM... I am expecting to have it ready by 5pm today. The hardest part is the work on the console shifter, the rest it is quite easy. Then test that everything works fine. Yes I will place the photos

ok on one of the photos you can see the console from a 2009 F150 FX4. The cable was a lot easier to install to the console as I did expected. I was first told that I would have to open the console to pull the shifter out but the design is made so that has not to be done. So it took about 2 minutes to set the cable to the shifter. Next step is to locate the whole where the cable will go to connect to the transmission. For that you will have to cut the carpet. The whole is located towards the right under the carpet. Get a good cutter because the insulation under the carpet is of excellent quality and it is tough to cut. Be very aware that the cable (you will have to use a cable from a Lariat since it is a longer cable) has to be sealed arounf the whole to prevent water, moister, dust or fumes coming from under the truck. The cable comes with the rubber sealer. That it will take a bit of time, not because it is difficult but because it is hard to make it fit.

Default about the mount...

This is the mount that you will have to use to secure the console. You will have to work something to level both front seats. I used two one inch hard rubber rings. It work perfect.

Default problem

Ok first problem encountered. The whole for the cable is not big enough. I have found that there is a plastic cover that I will have to extract and find out if the whole is there. If the whole is not there that means that I will have to drill one about 1 1/2 inch in diameter. So far this seems to me the only time consuming thing... Sorry it is a bad photo. That is not the final position of the console since it fits perfect towards the front. Towards the right of the photo you can see plastic cover I am talking about.

OK I removed the plastic cover and NO WHOLE this forces me to drill a whole. 2 inch diameter. To remove the plastic cover was a must since I will have to connect the air vent to the front of the console so I have air coming to the back vents of the console. So half of the plan is working. The good news is that at the moment that i took that plastic cover the vent system was ready for the console! that saves me $50.00 bucks and probably 2 hours of labor!

The mark on the above photo is where the whole will be drilled
