Center Console Light Blub Replacement
Good Morning!
I have a 2004 Ford F150 Lariat 4x4. The center console light bulb burned out several weeks ago. I wanted to see if anyone had to replace it and what was needed to do the job. I look forward to some feedback.
Thanks

What exactly do you mean by "center console light"? Is it the dome light, or map light? Those are pretty easy, just take a flat head screwdriver and jerk down on the plastic. For the map lights it was the entire deal including the sunglass holder. Don't be scared, just careful. I replaced mine with Led's, I'm sure autozone could get you the proper bulb replacement.

I appreciate the information. I was talking about the light bulb in the gear shift console. It is burned out, so at night have to turn on dome light to see what gear I am in.
Thanks

bulb out
1.open the console
2.stick your finger in the square hole and pull up and to the side(or up on the back corners of the top of the console lid around the shifter)
3.once the cover is open, on the driver side of the shifter in the rear is a black wire going to the light
4.turn counter clockwise and pull out the light, then remove the bulb.
5.install in reverse.
