2006 FX4....not that it matters for that type of problemo.


I have a CD stuck in slot#5 and hitting eject does not do anything. I can also neither play that CD nor can I load any other CD.

Is there somewhere some sort of reset button that would force the eject if I pull the unit out of the dash?

Any ideas?

Use something flat (preferably plastic) to insert in the CD slot and GENTLY pry up on the edge of said CD while hitting the eject button.

I know, I know...but it works.

Happened to my Lariat. Eventually it came out by itself.

Just give it time, it happened on my old truck

bang on it a bit with you fist and keep hitting eject. it should eventually come out. if not try the pry thing and if that doesn't work, take the cd player apart to get the CD then buy a new HU.
