You'd think is hit it while driving but nope. I got the Mic hanger for my own convenience. I hooked a large carbiner. (the ones the guard gives out.. the keychain ones....)

I would LOVE to know how that cubby hole thing comes out of the dash! I want to do this to install my old TRC-465 40 channel AM/SSB radio...

The truss hanger trick looks pretty doable, but I would think you'd want thicker / stronger material than that wouldn't you?

I mounted a radio where you did, in my 08, but am having trouble figuring out where to run my power wires and antenna wire through the fire wall.
