My 05 f150 had dual exhaust when I bought it and most likely the cats guts were knocked out of them. The truck feels like it's holding back a ton of power and back fires if you really get on the gas. I was told there were some kind of o2 replacement that would actually trick the computer into thinking everything is ok but I have no idea what it is or if it would even be a fix. Anybody else have this problem and know what I'm talking about?

If you're in the US and you purchased the vehicle in that condition, bring it back.

If they don't either fix the issue or take the truck back they have a problem, as it's a federal offense to sell a vehicle with an altered emission system.

No it did not have the issue (that I noticed) when I drove off the lot. It did happen about 2 Weeks after I bought it from a used car lot.

If the cats were gutted when you purchased the vehicle, the sale is illegal.

Have someone check, if they're truly gutted, the dealer has made an illegal sale.

Well aside from that my curiosity is up about some MIL o2 eliminators...do you know anything about it?
