It is made for gun, but works great for fishing poles as well.

I asked the same question and I was told it should be able to handle about 100 LBS. I wasn't showen anythng in wrighting as to the weight.

the opening isn't wide enough to put real big things in. but it is great for little things.

I think it was well worth the money.

I love mine............ it is an A.R.E. and I think the color is perfect.

Like being able to lock the glass and tailgate when stuff is back there, also keeps everything in there on the highway.

that is nice. nothing like being able to lock things in the back. I can take my dog and I don't worry about the smell. It's an easy clean, cloths stay dry ... etc!!

Default cap or not

I went with the ARE. Great color match on Met earth (brown with gold flake). About 400 less than snug top or leer.

That gun box is a really nice idea, but I wouldn't be able to fit it, and all of my equipment for my side job (lawn work). 2 mowers in the back and weed-whackers, blowers, hedgers, rakes, etc.

I'm going to suggest it to my father-in-law though! He drives an 04' Lariat and loves to go fishing regularly. (Must be nice being retired! )

Now I have to go back to the drawing board though, because the A.R.E. cap looks great and who doesn't wanna save $400! lol

Thx again,

Stay away from the Century brands. The locks are VERY cheap, and the customer service is HORRIBLE!
