Which wire exactly do we move? Would it work on my 2004 with power mirrors?

my 08 150 had standard manual folding power mirrors and I upgraded to towing mirrors with power, signals, puddle lights and heat. Everything works just by plugging in except the heat, as I don't have the controls for heat. What all do I need to make the heat work? Can I just find a control panel for it and swap it out, or is there any other wiring/relays that I need?

You have to add the switch and wiring all the way down to the fuse box.

I did it an easy way and found the heat pin in the wiring harness, then added a switch and fused from the battery. Much simpler, but you have to know which switch heats the mirrors and can't forget to shut them off.

Default My understanding

On my 08 F150 FX4 Super crew, I am looking to upgrade my mirrors on my truck to power fold, heat and signal, now from what I have read I can buy the mirrors and all but the heat and the fold will work, the question I have is I found a mirror adjust and fold switch will this replace the existing switch and have the fold on new mirrors work? And what would I need to do to get the heat to work as well?

Which mirrors did you order? I get conflicting info about what you have to do to get lights working if you don't have them already, but I have the same year as you and would love a plug and play solution. I don't care about the heat.

As I stated in my post, my truck had standard power adjusting mirrors W/O power fold or heat. I bought a set of aftermarket towing mirrors that are power adjusting, heated, and have turn signals and puddle lights, but NOT power folding. They were plug and play EXCEPT for the heat, as my truck did not originally have heated mirrors, and therefore didn't have the controls for them. I did manage to make them work by finding the wire for them in the harness and adding a switch and fuse.

Yeah that's the same config I have, all the aftermarket mirrors I've seen listed on ebay and amazon *claim* that you'll only get the features that you currently have. Do you by any chance have a link to the mirrors you purchased? It'd be greatly appreciated. If the lights work via plug and play that'd be great, I can mess with heat later if I get the urge.
