Can I put 305/65-18 tires on my stock rims?
I am looking to put the BF Goodrich 305/65-18 all terrains on my 2004 ford f150 fx4. I do have a 2.5 inch leveling kit on my truck. The workers at Discount tires told me i could not go that big because my rim width is 7.5 inch and the tire will eventually bubble out. Is this true?

12.2 wide on a 9 inch wheel ...even BFG recommends a min of 8.5 wheel

I Like Tires
The discount tire guys are correct. Does it mean you can't do it? No, but it isn't the best setup.
If you really want those tires on it they will most likely put them on for you, just depends on the store. They will just constantly remind you however that they should be going on a wider wheel to cover their own ***, and they may not sell you Certs (Road Hazard Warranty) for the tires.
They can get you a good deal on wheels if you are in the market maybe take a look at some wheels and see what they can do for you. If you are buying 4 tires as well they will usually try to cut you a deal on the wheels if you just don't seem to eager to buy.
