Default Can I fit 265/70/17 tires on stock f150 xl

Or would 265/65/17 be a better option? Also Do I need a leveling kit? Will there be any rubbing?

Is it 2wd or 4wd? I out 285/70/17 on mine for a few weeks with no leveling kit, it is 4wd there was no rubbing but I wanted more clearance so I put a 2" level on it

Yep I don't see a problem with that size, I know people running 33's on 2wd's with minor trimming it should be good though

You will have no problem at all with that size, Some of the 150's packages OEM size.

our old parts truck was an 05 F150 2wd reg cab 8' bed. it needed tires and being cheap we had some navigator 18" take-offs sitting in storage so we slapped em on there. they were 255/70/18's which come out to be almost the exact same size as 265/70/17's that you want.
they fit just fine. never once rubbed. I did however notice a good bit of a drop in acceleration. stock size was 235/70/17's which were 30" tall whereas the 255/70/18's were 32" tall. the truck was a 4.6 2v/auto and had 3.55 gears, so it was no surprise that 2" increase in size was noticeable.
we had the speedo re-calibrated so it was accurate.
