Default Can I change the bulb in my projector headlights?

Forgive my ignorance please. Is the light coming through my projectors the original lights that were on my oem headlights and can it be changed to a better/brighter light? I ask because a shop installed my headlights for me and I was thinking about wanting brighter lights and these bulbs don't put out a very bright light at night. What would be the brightest I could go without installing an HID kit and without running into any melting issues cause the bulb would be so hot. Thank-you!

I came across silverstar ultras. Is that the best (brightest) light I can go without trying to do an HID kit and from what I can research the oem bulb is housed in the projector kit and I can just pop it out and replace it with this brighter bulb to get better light if I am understanding correctly. Any and all advice is MUCH appreciated.

Okay... a lot of views yet not help or opinions yet haha.

Looking at DDM's HID kits.... they aren't expensive (big plus) but I have no idea what exactly I NEED... any help here?

Not much help here but I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. My stock lights are very weak (2012 )so I've been reading the reviews on bulbs. the 9007 Silvania Ultra is what I'm leaning too but the downfall is they need replacing between 10 and 14 months.

Yeah, I was seeing all the reviews on them and they are nice lights but require replacing too frequently. Their box even says they are only averaged a year of life. I found DDM HID kits that are under $100 with a lifetime warranty so I am looking into that... I just have no idea what I need....

I think (from reading past posts) that I need the 55W H13/9008 Hi/Lo beam kit but I have no idea if I need a harness, error eliminator, adaptor cables, or mounting brackets.

Please someone with DDM knowledge chime in

Did more looking and many say 55W isn't required and may actually be too "hot" and that 35W should be perfectly fine? Haha.... Wish someone was on to get fast answers >.<

Will installing an HID kit still work with my projectors? The actual LIGHT of the HID kit installs just like an every day bulb but has a lot more BEHIND it that runs it right?

yes..you need a ballast and harness, first you need to make sure your current projectors can handle the increased heat without melting...

From my understanding using a 35W 6000k will be less heat output than stock? Idk... How would I even know what my projectors can handle prior to trying it out?
