Default Can this be done to mine

I was wondering if anyone has heard of homemade blackout light. I was reading on a forums for a differnet kind of truck and it had been done. I was thinking about doing it to my 06 if it is possible. I know it consisted of taking light apart and painting it and baking it in the oven. Thanks

It can be done. Its a pain in the ***** though. I did it to my old car, then tried it on my F150 and gave up and just bought some on Ebay.

I was just looking for the cheaper way out. My truck is black and it would look cool with blackouts and the turn signals clear.

Yeah you can do it yourself. Just buy you a can of VHT niteshade and it can be done.

PM ShakeZone and he'll do them for you. I think he charges $100 for them and when you receive them you send him your stockers.

just go to walmart n pick up some window tint n stick it on there... you may have to do the heat applied trick though, but look up light tints on like youtube and they show you how to do it, its pretty simple.. and if you dont like it you can always just take it off

Here are mine after the oven method! And it is true it is a pain to do make sure you have a full day or weekend to do it, but yes it is a cheap way out and mine look great. All I can say is get them from eBay if you can!
