Default Can a DIY guy change radiator fluid on 2008 F 150??

Are there any special tools needed for something that should be so easy?Any concerns????When i was a kid i could fix nearly all the basic maintenance items on a vehicle, but now in the era of diagnostic codes etc..not so certain....any info gladly appreciated....

Shouldn't be an issue. Just drain, refill, and let her run with the cap off until the air gets out. And I've read on here it helps to raise the front of the truck a bit so the part the cap goes on is the highest part of the system

no big deal, just have to take off the petcock at the bottom, drain and refill

after the drain tho you should be replacing all the hoses & clamps while you've got all the fluid out

im sure you can find a writeup on googlie.

Out of curiosity, why are you replacing your antifreeze now? Isn't it good for 5 years?

Remove the lower hose from the radiator to drain the engine block as well. The radiator petcock usually only drains the radiator itself.
